Bonding
The management team at National Friction Composites has over 70 years of experience bonding friction material. Quality materials and time proven processes reinforce our philosophy that any questionable bond is unacceptable.
- We use material analysis to familiarize us with what we are bonding. Whether is is "high tech" plastics, powdered metal, aluminum or carbon steel, we have the knowledge and the resources to offer the highest quality bonds.
- Bonding fixtures fixtures engineered to each part are used to insure quality bonds and efficient processing.
- Processing is developed for each part from the preparation of materials to the curing of the adhesive. The curing process is monitored by our computer system and temperature charts are logged and maintained for future reference.
- We use the highest quality adhesives, giving us confidence that our bonds will to maintain their strength and integrity at elevated temperatures.
Welding
Capabilities that include Spot, Projection, Mig, and CNC Robotic Mig are another means in which we maintain an edge. To satisfy the ever-increasing demand of supplying fabricated friction assemblies we felt it vital to maintain an up to date welding department.
Since the acquisition of a CNC Robotic Welder, it has opened the door for National Friction Composites to expand its in-house capabilities to include a variety of heavy-duty brake bands.
